“I come to camp every year for the spirit in everything that the campers do and see and for all of the AMAZING staff!”
Camp Mont Shenandoah boasts a high rate of returning program staff, almost all of whom are former campers or junior counselors. Counselors are selected based on their maturity, stability, dependability, leadership skills, ability to relate to girls of all ages, sense of humor as well as their knowledge and demonstrated skills in the activity for which they are hired to teach. The camper-to-staff ratio is five to one, assuring each girl ample individual attention.
As always, the counseling staff at CMS is made up of amazing young women with a variety of skills, many years of experience, and a love for camp! For the six-week session, the staff is 22 strong – 18 counselors, 2 counselors-in-training (CITs), and 2 assistant program directors. A few more familiar faces will be coming on board for Roots and Shoots.
